Non-Discrimination Statement

Child Safe of Central Missouri, Inc does not discriminate in the delivery of services or benefits based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, disability, age, sexual orientation, or gender identity.

As a client of Child Safe of Central Missouri, individuals have the right to file a grievance if they feel they have been treated unfairly or refused services based on race, religion, gender, national origin, age, disability, sexual orientation, or any other statutorily prohibited basis. Clients will suffer no repercussions in service delivery because of filing a grievance. All grievances will be addressed in a confidential manner.

If a client has a grievance, the client should first discuss it with the staff person with whom they are working. If this is not successful or if the client feels this is not an option, the client should proceed with the following steps:

  • A written statement should be prepared including date, time, and nature of the grievance. If the client is unable to write the complaint themselves and cannot find anyone to help, a Child Safe of Central Missouri employee will provide the client with assistance in submitting the complaint.
  • Submit the grievance to the Executive Director within 10 working days of the event.
  • The Executive Director will investigate the complaint and inform the client in writing (or alternative format), of the decision and/or proposed resolution within thirty (30) working days of the date of receipt of the grievance.
