Statistics

Each month at Child Safe we serve approximately 25 children. Most of those children are reporting sexual abuse. We know that the children we see are very special and can not be broken down into a statistical report. Each child is unique and each story is heartbreaking. None the less, an overview of the children we see would show -

  • In 2001, we served 108 children
  • In 2002, we served 134 children
  • In 2003, we served 251 children
  • In 2004, we served 301 children
  • In 2005, we served 314 children
  • In 2006, we served 336 children

From 2001-2006, we served 1,444 children

146 On-site Sexual Assault Forensic Examinations were
conducted from 2001-2006

**These counties had cases with prosecutorial action on a juvenile offender with referral to Division of Youth Services. This will not be reflected in our numbers because Children's Division was not involved.
